As informed by the film distributor, A False Student cannot be screened due to copyright issues. As such, its film screenings have to be cancelled, and will be replaced by Masumura Yasuzo’s The Blue Sky Maiden (1957). Ticket holders of the screenings on 13 November at The Hong Kong Arts Centre and 19 December at Tai Kwun may choose to attend the screening of the replacement film at the same date and time, or apply for a refund.
Ticket holders may fill out refund application form online, or download it from Cine Fan website (cinefan.hkiff.org.hk). Completed physical application forms and tickets should be returned by post to the Hong Kong International Film Festival Society Office (8/F, The Rays, 71 Hung To Road, Kwun Tong, Kowloon, Hong Kong) on or before 28 January 2022, with the subject “Refund Application” on the envelope. Refund cheques of the net amount of ticket will be sent to ticket holders by post (handling charges and other charges will not be refunded).
Tickets of The Blue Sky Maiden will be available from 26 October 2021 at URBTIX.
