Bluebeard's Eighth Wife

A wealthy businessman and prolific bridegroom gets more than he bargains for upon meeting sassy heiress Nicole on the French Riviera. Initially swept off her feet, she pumps the brakes on their nuptials after discovering that her fiancé has been married seven times before. What follows is a classic Lubitsch farce, involving private detectives, strait jackets, and Louis XIV’s antique bathtub. David Niven appears as Nicole’s loyal best pal, while Colbert steals the show as a resolutely modern gal who knows what she wants and just how to get it.
