Endless Poetry(Poesía sin fin)

  • Dir: Alejandro Jodorowsky

  • Chile/France, 2016, Spanish, 128mins, DCP, Category III

  • Cast: Adán Jodorowsky, Pamela Flores, Brontis Jodorowsky

Dwarves and clowns, skeletons and devils come together to illuminate young Alejandrito’s life adventure as he ignores his father’s disapproval and finds his own path to become a poet. In an explosion of personal pain, ‘psychomagic’ conceits and operatic craziness, all captured by the enchanting camera of Christopher Doyle, this second chapter of the artist's self-portrait as a young man is an ode to the quest of beauty and inner truth. Crafting a world that reflects his eccentric self yet liberates his inherent ghosts, Jodorowsky in a sense pays tribute to himself – his passion, his reconciliation with his past self, and everything he has become by staying true to his soul.
