Four Souls of Coyote

Winner of the jury award at this year’s Annecy International Animation Film Festival, Áron Gauder’s visually spectacular feature showcases a compelling retelling of the Native American creation myth. As a group of indigenous protestors confront a team of construction workers, who are planning to build a pipeline through their ancestral homeland, a tribal elder recounts the birth of the world and their people. It is a story rich with conflict, between the Old Man creator and the mischievous coyote, as well as the perpetual struggle between all species and the land itself to live together in respectful harmony.
