With dreams of movie stardom, the lovely Nana leaves her husband and son to follow one path, only to find herself trapped as she struggles to support herself through prostitution. A breakthrough film for the married couple, who just suffered a miscarriage, yet Karina’s truthful and deeply affecting performance singlehandedly helped the film win the Special Jury Prize at Venice.
