Audiences at Cannes Directors' Fortnight were enthralled by Weston Razooli’s assured and utterly bewitching debut, an offbeat children’s adventure that weaves elements of fantasy and video gaming into a magical odyssey through the backwoods of rural Wyoming. A trio of tearaway youngsters, riding dirt bikes and wielding paintball guns, go in search of a carton of eggs in order to bake a blueberry pie for one of their ailing mothers. This seemingly mundane task transforms into a mythical quest, as they become entangled with a dangerous gang of outlaws and a mysterious girl wielding magical powers.
