Featuring a rare collaboration between Alfred Hitchcock and surrealist artist Salvador Dalí, this award-winning psychological thriller broke new ground with its exploration of the subconscious and dreams beneath the typical Hitchcockian role reversal. Psychoanalyst Petersen (Ingrid Bergman) falls for her new colleague Dr. Edwardes (Gregory Peck), but he may not be all that he appears. Seeking answers for Dr. Edwardes’ peculiar visual phobia and amnesia, she further interrogates his dreams – a lurid landscape of disturbing imagery and symbolism designed by the master Dalí. Only by penetrating the frontier of the subconscious can they unravel the mystery of Dr. Edwardes’ identity.
