It only takes a day to reveal a successful screenwriter’s tragic cowardice, when his broken car leads him to a surprise reunion with his deserted lover, now married to a tea estate owner. Allowing himself to be intimidated by the social codes, he who eagers to recapture his missed opportunities can only drown in regret and loneliness. Engrossing crucial moments in silent gaze, Ray sings the praises of a courageous woman who has the strength to forgive and forget.
