The Decalogue: Seven & Eight(Dekalog, siedem & osiem)

Delving into lives haunted by the ghosts of the past, these episodes explore the impact our words and deeds have upon others. "Can you steal something that is yours?" is a question raised in The Decalogue: Seven, in which a young woman abducts her daughter from her mother, who has “stolen” and raised the child as her own. The Decalogue: Eight follows a translator’s meeting with an ethics professor who had refused to shelter her family during the Holocaust, believing that a fake christening would bear false witness to God. This action puts the child's life in grave danger, and ends up in her own remorse.
