A thousand kilometers from the frontline, yet Lviv is never safe from Russia’s military attacks. Under the constant threat of enemy missiles, people are struggling to retain their ‘normal life’, albeit without letting the daily losses of war become routine. Returning to his beloved hometown, Mansky observes its grief, pain and resilience through his distanced yet compassionate lens, as it accompanies a military band paying tributes during the countless somber funerals, and a brigade of gravediggers building endless graves for fallen soldiers. Seasons change, no one knows when spring will come, but the incredible faces of young Ukrainian soldiers are proof that hope and pride can never be defeated.
