Wild Diamond(Diamant Brut)

19-year-old firebrand Liane is obsessed with becoming a world famous influencer and escaping her blue collar life in the dusty wilderness of Southern France, where she lives with her single mother and younger sister. Shoplifting designer clothes and blowing her meagre earnings on shoddy cosmetic surgery, Liane’s chances seem slim, that is until she receives a call from a casting director for a hit reality TV show. Riedinger’s film is no rags-toriches fairytale, however, but a brutally honest look at our facile obsession with social media and celebrity culture, where the superficial reigns supreme.
