This May, HKIFFS will bring two exclusive preview screenings to CineClub subscribers! Coming up first is A Hero, directed by two-time Oscar winner Asghar Farhadi. This moral dilemma spins around a man in prison, whose good deeds becomes a social media sensation, but gradually evolving into a bubbling maelstrom. Framed by the complexities of family ties and business relations, Farhadi’s characteristically intricate, humane and absorbing new film won the Grand Prix at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival.
